The Flappy Powerpuff Girl

The inspiration behind my project comes from the popular game, Flappy Bird, which I used to play extensively during my primary school days. After eight years, I decided to recreate the game and relive those nostalgic memories.

My arcade-style game follows the same principles as Flappy Bird, but with my own personalized touches, such as a new character, background, and pipes. The objective of the game is to control a Powerpuff Girl named Bubbles, who moves continuously towards the right, by navigating her through columns of golden pipes without colliding with them. Players control the character by using the spacebar key, and each successful pass through a pair of pipes earns them a point. The game ends if the character collides with a pipe or the ground.

Bubbles, the chosen character for my game, is inspired by the animated TV series, The Powerpuff Girls, which I used to watch regularly with my classmates. In the show, Bubbles is one of the three main characters accidentally created by a professor in his laboratory. Bubbles is known for her adorable and cheerful personality, earning her the nickname "The Joy and the Laughter" amongst her sisters. In contrast to the original game's bird, I chose Bubbles as the central character due to her unique ability to fly.

Overall, my project serves as a homage to the beloved game, Flappy Bird, and incorporates personal elements such as my favorite childhood cartoon and character, providing a fun and nostalgic experience for all players.
