Timer Patcher

It is my first project created in a software called Max/MSP, a visual programming language that is widely used in music, multimedia, and interactive art.
After persevering through the difficulties, I was finally able to create a timer for cooking different types of noodles. I researched the various types of noodles and their cooking times to include in the timer. To make the timer visually appealing, I used the fpic object to display images of the noodles and the alpha message to create a fade in and fade out effect on the images' opacity. I also spent a lot of time arranging the patch cords and selecting background and text colors to make it look more aesthetically pleasing.
The purpose of my creative project is to present a brief series of conceptual works, which I call silence.
Although it was challenging, creating the patcher from scratch and pausing and re-watching the tutorials multiple times helped me understand the concept and relationship between each element. In the end, I was proud of the final creation I had made, and I felt like I had learned a lot through the process.
